Uwe Timm Alle meine Geister
In his autofictional book Alle meine Geister (All My Spirits), Uwe Timm recalls his youth in 1950s Hamburg, when he was sent by his father to become a furrier. He tells of his secret desire to become a writer, of friendships and initiations into love, of his discovery of jazz and heated arguments with his father about the Nazi era. In conversation with Maike Albath, he explores a temporal image full of curious experiences from the world of work and dreams.
