Virtual Exhibition
The digital exhibition “Music, Makers & Machines” on Google Arts & Culture provides insights into the genesis of the Studio for Electroacoustic Music and its rare, one-of-a-kind collection of historical musical artefacts at the Akademie der Künste, Berlin.
The virtual tour highlights around 70 objects, featuring the Subharchord (a subharmonic synthesizer), Hermann Scherchen’s rotating speaker sphere, and other instruments. Videos introduce the key people involved and a 360° panoramic tour guides viewers through the Studio in the Akademie building at its Hanseatenweg venue.
