New realism in France
In France, a new generation of architects has emerged, taking up the tradition of rationalist discourse and at the same time developing it poetically with a radical approach to the realities of the urban, social and economic context. In doing so, the protagonists follow local models such as Lacaton & Vassal on the one hand. On the other hand, a spiritual affinity with contemporary European architectural developments such as in Flanders cannot be denied. On the occasion of the publication of the new edition dedicated to the new realism in France, ARCH+ invites some outstanding representatives of this generation to initiate a dialogue between the generations and the horizon of experience between France and Germany.
