DESOLATION. A Mystery Play
Theatre Performance
Inspired by the film Masked and Anonymous (2003, script and music: Bob Dylan) – an apocalyptic mystery play with itinerant entertainers, freaks, divas and profit-oriented prophets, that delves into the tradition of racist minstrel shows – the stage design class at the Berlin University of Arts and the directing programmes at the Ernst Busch Academy and Hanns Eisler School of Music have designed an interdisciplinary theatre project. Three visual, musical and performing arts pieces show new artistic strategies by young theatremakers.
