Poesiefestival Berlin 2025
From May 15 to June 15, Poesiefestival Berlin 2025 will take place, featuring an extensive pre-programme across the city and, for the first time, the main festival will be held at two locations: Akademie der Künste at Hanseatenweg and silent green in Wedding.
The main festival will open on 3 June with the Berlin Poetry Lecture at Akademie der Künste. This will be followed by numerous poetry talks, performances, ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival, and larger panels such as “Writing Identities” at silent green.
For the closing weekend from 14 to 15 June, the festival will return to Akademie der Künste. On Saturday, various reading formats will explore the connection between poetry and sports. Sunday marks the grand finale of the festival with a poetry book market, readings in the Beech Garden, poetry talks, and “Weltklang – Night of Poetry”, featuring eight international poets.
