Residency

THE MIDDLE SPACE is a video installation and performance that explores the crossover between traditional Tunisian wedding customs and Berlin’s alternative nightlife. This interdisciplinary work reflects the artist’s personal journey between the cultural expectations of love, marriage and sexuality in her Tunisian homeland and the liberating but sometimes overwhelming freedom she has experienced in Berlin. The project explores the tension between tradition and modernity, attempting to define a “middle space” where empowerment and authenticity can coexist.
