Akademie Talk: Triggering
Everything that exists triggers something that follows.
Triggering means setting something in motion, get things moving.
What do the arts trigger? Do artists have control over what their work triggers –
in individual cases and as a result, in individuals and in a social context?
We ask them specifically about what they want to trigger –
and initiate various artistic interventions.
The artistic interventions – reading, video, performance – and one-to-one discussions can be experienced in alternating new settings.

An event in the context of “Widerstand der Ästhetik” (Resistance of Aesthetics)
At a time when the narrative styles of social media, short clips, fake news and AI are becoming a political power factor, a resistant, ultimately enlightening aesthetic is becoming a duty. However, it often unfolds its power precisely when it is not overtly political. How can resistance then succeed? The Akademie is devoting a series of events to this question.
