European Alliance of Academies
Polish Perspectives

Performance, Music, Reading, Debate

On the occasion of the Polish EU Council Presidency, the European Alliance of Academies is organising a diverse programme to focus on the newly emerging artistic and cultural landscape in Poland. Artistic and discursive contributions are dedicated to the questions of what traces the PiS government's years of interference in artistic freedom have left behind and how the Polish art and culture scene is dealing with the political changes. The role of women, who have been instrumental in driving political change, will also be discussed.

The programme will be held mainly in English. Translations in German will be provided.

In co-operation with the Polish Institute Berlin. Funded by the Foundation for German-Polish Cooperation. Supported by the Daniel Chodowiecki Foundation, the Goethe-Institut Warsaw, Villa Decius Kraków and the European Film Academy.
