Piotr Rypson (born 1956 in Warsaw), graduated in literature, holds a professorship for Curatorial Studies at the University of Warsaw and is today deputy director of the Warsaw National Museum. From the mid-1990s on, he curated numerous exhibitions, such as Der Riß im Raum (with Matthias Flügge), showcasing contemporary art from Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia.
