Jost Gebers
Jost Gebers is a co-founder and long-time producer of Free Music Production. Jost Gebers and the other FMP founders such as Peter Brötzmann and Alexander von Schlippenbach invented new formats time and time again over three decades in the context of the interdisciplinary Free Music Workshops, through surprising combinations of musicians, structures and timing. In 2011, Jost Gebers released the brilliant FMP Im Rückblick (FMP in retrospect) CD boxset including a 200-page booklet about the history of the label. In addition to numerous other awards, he received the annual German Record Critics' Award in 2012 in recognition of FMP’s role as a "central platform for the avant-garde of jazz in Europe".
